It was a beautiful day today and my usual lunch time walk was more enjoyable than it has been for quite some time.

I walked down the back drive, through Oak Alley, and onto the new cycle path skirting the Safari Park. The good weather had brought out an abundance of visitors to the park and the smell of barbeques filled the air.

Families lunched on rugs laid out on the grass and children played football in front of the giraffe enclosure.

There was a real holiday atmosphere as everyone soaked up the first real sun of 2012.

I stopped en route beside the orchard to capture the mansion house in all it's splendour.
