Kildwick

River Aire 2

No time today for the morning walk. I had to be at Airedale Hospital for a routine screening at 9.40am except when I checked my appt it was for 9.20 and I was already late! Rushed in to find no one waiting and I was in and out in no time.

Chris had gone off to do some shopping so I set off to walk towards Kildwick. This little village used to be on a bad bend on the main road to Skipton and the Dales but is now spared by the Aire Valley bypass. Seemed a good opportunity to take
another 'one river' shot. (You can see it in the background of my Airedale blip taken on the 7th January.)

This bridge crosses over the River Aire into the village which is just across the border of the county of West Yorkshire in North Yorkshire. North of Skipton in North Yorkshire is to be found the source of the river at Malham. I'll save that for another blip!
