Home Sweet Home

I was so happy to be home!

T and I woke up early at 8am. Ouch! On a Sunday! We were ready by 10am, and then had breakfast at his place. Porridge for me and spicy scrambled eggs with avocado for him.

We lounged around for a while and watched TV, and then I headed home. It was a beautiful blue sky and sun kind of day, and there was something different in the air. I know, Spring! Well, just the tiniest hint of it anyway! The sun was that bit warmer, and the air smelled lovely.

I had a little while to wait for my train at Clapham, and got myself a pretzel and a tea. I heard a voice behind me, and looked up to see my friend Kay! She had come to lunch with a friend of hers. It was very random to see her there, and we've agreed we need a proper catch up soon!

I was very lucky as I managed to get a free train ride home! No barriers at Clapham plus it being Sunday rather helped. I must stress I do always buy at ticket, but you never seem able to get a return for different days of the weekend, so SWT decide to charge almost the full price of a return for a single journey, which doubles my travel costs.

After I got home I unpacked, then decided to pop and get some daffodils. I bought them at M & S, along with a cranberry and pecan loaf which I remembered from last year, and which was divine! Back to zero carbs again tomorrow.

I was so tired I had to close my eyes, and had a lovely nap on the sofa, before I dragged myself off to gym. How I got off that sofa I don't know, I could have slept for a month.

I'm sad the weekend is over again, it seems so short. But on the flip side, only 5 more working days until half-term ;-)
