Gothic Marvels in #Huddersfield
Today's itinerary included: an early morning visit to the cemetery on my way to work; an inspection of the refractory arch of a biomass boiler; a rat problem; a broken roller shutter; a visit behind the scenes at the Art Gallery and an inspection with the fire service.
So today's blipfoto was a close call between Francis Bacon, Henry Moore or Edgerton Cemetery.
The Cemetery won. This is the rising sun through the rib-vaulted arched porte cochère of the twin chapels. The arch is surmounted by an octagonal spire. The chapels are listed gothic marvels.
Unfortunately the buildings are currently derelict and boarded-up.
Henry and Francis can wait until another day.
