We had a beautifully lazy morning this morning. The three of us woke up at the same time (however a little bit of encouragement was required in Daddy's case) and then Daddy and Amelie went off to play so Mummy could enjoy her cup of tea in bed with her book (One of the Harry Hole books by Jo Nesbo...an amazing series of books!)

When we were all finally dressed, fed and ready we headed out to investigate one of the ''30 walks in Surrey'' I bought Chris for his birthday (last year!). The walk was about 4 miles but we stupidly didn't take the buggy or back pack for Amelie and decided instead to walk to point 2 and back again, which worked out at about 2.5 miles. Amelie didn't walk the whole way, she struggled on the way back and we put her on our shoulders, but she did pretty well and enjoyed spotting planes taking off, cows, horses, huge muddy puddles and some chickens.

We ended our walk with a trip to the park I had seen as we started, and a trip to the newsagent. Amelie chose some crisps (over ice cream!) and a magazine. Included with her magazine was this magnifying glass and loads of little ladybirds which I just know are going to get lost and then be refound in places such as my bed, my shoes, under the sofa and down the toilet.
