The first cut is the deepest
After the excitement of having my eyes and ears checked yesterday I've had a rather pedestrian day today. The weather was drab so I stayed indoors and I've done piles of washing and chilling and reading.
Forgot to mention the chat with George yesterday. It was great to catch up with him but I was thrown when he asked me when Shrove Tuesday is. I'm a born-again atheist and he lives in an area so observant to the Catholic faith that it makes the Vatican City look like Ibiza during the Stag Weekend season. Sadly I wasn't able to help...............
Lamb and leek casserole tonight and, unless I'm much mistaken, some cheeky suet dumplings might be finding their way in there. Of course I had to get a blip so cutting up the leek took second place to arranging a remote flash and moving the props around the chopping board. Such is the life of a blipper. I'm hoping that the nice young lady on the local BBC weather graces us with some sun tomorrow so that I can go out and find something delectable for you all.
