Old stone peasant

Spent a very cold afternoon in Romsey, a small market town 9 miles west of Winchester.  A long long time ago we almost bought a house there.  I'm so glad the sale fell through.  The town is overshadowed by its 'big house', Broadlands.  Very feudal. 

Found this peasant with his lady stuck outside the south door of the Abbey.  Poor chap, he was as cold and grey as the day.
