A day of visits..
..chores done; met readings; feed, water, and let out hens; walk dog; put out bins (ours and A's); feed dags and cots (aka Dags 'n' Cogs!).
A came round for some eggs, and the village hall key. He was going to fit a key switch on the security lights.
G called, can she come up to do some copying, and get me to look at her computer? Needed to renew her Avast virus protection. J had tried to do it for her, but got lost in Windoze 8! Sorted in about 15 seconds!
Spent a bit of time discussing the village web-site, and how it can be improved. Needs input from the villagers to enable it to be a useful resource.
A brought the hall key back, he couldn't do the job. Needs help with a large panel that the switches are fitted on. Next rainy day job for us!
Time for a bit of lunch, before taking the recycling to the council yard. This view is of the high rock as you approach Scourie from the S, taken from near the entrance to the council yard.
Then on to M's. An old lady in the village. A few days ago I had an e-mail from someone in Canada, did I know of someone in Scourie who may be a relative of hers. I thought M fitted the bill, so spent an hour with her discussing family histories, and it turns out they are related.. Have e-mailed Canada back.. All part of the service!!
Had four cracked eggs which i thought I'd better eat up, do I scramble, or make an omelette? No question. Onions diced and fried, then mushrooms, a few peas, tomatoes, some ham diced, and a few slithers of Stilton.. Egg cooked underneath (still runny on top), filling added, fold over, and another minute each side to seal the edges. Egg still runny inside - perfect..
Not done this for a while.. MUSIC - Can see the reason for this choice?
