Nature's Fireworks

From my daily journal - July 4, 2006

What a great day - very focused and playful too. Jason called at 8:15 and woke me up but I didn't mind. We talked for an hour and a half about all sorts of things: Ethan just left for Buenos Aires, maybe a new job, a play being optioned, life. I archived a bunch of my photos until Steve and Nora came and we all went down to Zuanich Point Park. There was a big fire - three boats ruined. We saw the smoke billowing as we arrived. We found a place to sit and ate a picnic dinner Nora brought and played Scrabble.  We watched people including a parachute surfer. The sunset was magnificent and the fireworks were great. We got rained on but not too much. It was cold and windy and so much fun.
