Lilac Vine

We have had these vines nearly a year and finally (!), we have some flowers so they can live up to their name.

Pearl is feeling much better today - the miracle of fluid therapy. Her lab work looked quite good, especially considering that she has just 1 functional kidney. We are going to try a new diet and hope she will take some extra meds for her stomach. She is an absolute nightmare to medicate, despite the fact that she is the sweetest cat we have ever known.

I finally fixed the chewed irrigation line today. Our system has been off for about 6 weeks. It has been cold and occasionally rainy, so the plants did fine on their own. The weather is starting to warm up, so it is time to get some reliable water to the garden. I felt proud to have accomplished this myself for less than $5.
