Creepy Colehurst

First of all, thanks for all the comments yesterday - no time to reply individually, but much appreciated. Took youngest for an interview at Keele today, and while she was in, went to visit an old College friend of M's - they'd not seen each other for 42 years - imagine it was quite a shock, especially as we gave him about ten minutes warning...

Afterwards, went to look at Old Colehurst Manor (AD 1580) - no-one there, but pushed open the gate and wandered all around the place. It had obviously had a lot invested in it at one time, but now falling into ruin - such a shame. Found such an interesting story on the internet about it, how an old Swedish golfer bought it (and the title of Lord Teksnes) for £20,000 in 1986 and did it up, and ran it as a wonderful venue. Wonder what happened??
