It is not often that the house one viewed with the idea of taking up residence mysteriously disappears a few hours later, but this view will be no more as the birdbox was moved today. The shed upon which it is mounted is to be temporarily shifted down the garden and will have a different aspect, which the birds may not like.

The birds may still decide to nest if they notice it in its new position in the coppery beech tree, though I fear it will be more vulnerable to predators.
