History Project

My daughter is working on a History Project.  I had no idea there was so much symbolism in The Wizard of Oz.  Did you know the tin man represents factory workers and that the yellow brick road symbolized the gold standard?  That the cowardly lion represented William Jennings Bryan?

I'm not sure I believe it.  

Regardless, I really like her cowardly lion.
