Church of the Immaculate Conception, Geraldine

Just down the road from the supermarket in Geraldine stands this imposing Catholic church. Located on a corner, it's relatively exposed, with not much in the way of greenery or other buildings around it. On a cloudy and drizzly day, it jumped out at me as a possible blip subject. I took some closeups of the Holy Mother above the door and its impressive windows, but this shot made the cut as my choice for the day.

Thanks for the stars and faves fro yesterday's shot in the Rakaia Gorge. I've had some lovely offline comments too, which is great. I'm hoping it will soon be one of a series of postcards which I hope to be selling locally. Watch this space!
