Thursday, February 12, 2015 -- Wet Toes
Even though Mr. Fun nor Max nor Mitzi are looking at me, I like this photo. The waves seem so powerful just a few feet from the shore, but they fizzle to nothing quickly.
Our time at the coast is coming to a close for this winter. We return to southern California this Saturday. On the shoreline we see evidence of the season changing. Here on the Central Coast kelp is flourishing, and seaweed is beginning to come ashore.
In slightly more than a month spring will arrive. This acknowledgement is bitter-sweet . . . spring brings such beauty; we're excited about that, but time is always in too big of a hurry. One songwriter penned it this way, "The secret to life is enjoying the passage of time." So we reserved this day for "enjoying," and thanked God for every minute as we savored the moments of this Thursday.
Good night,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
