Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2016 Friday -- Reflecting

It was fairly late this afternoon when we headed for the shore.

I had done some house cleaning and some packing of my things, and Mr. Fun had put each of the three pups in the large outside laundry sink and given them a bath. He had put their vest/harnesses and all the wet towels in the washer and then the dryer.

Once we got the pups back in their harnesses, we put them in the car and made our getaway to the beach at the south end of town.

We were hunting for sand dollars because we had found a few of them yesterday and mentioned that in a text to our daughter in SoCal. She responded that she'd love to have a sand dollar for each of the students in her classroom. We asked how many students and she responded, "12." She works as a teacher's assistant in a small classroom with autistic children.

So we found enough sand dollars for each student to have two. We also found at least a handful of sea glass, just by picking them up one piece at a time. One that I found was very pretty blue and that was fun. Blue is somewhat rare.

High tide was receding.
The air was full of moisture.
The wet sand was mirror-like.
Our moments on the shore were magical.

This was our last full day for this current visit to the Central Coast. Tomorrow we head for SoCal. The new semester begins Tuesday.

Good night,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
