Beach Canteen

As part of the Food Festival (yes, we're having a 3 week long FOOD Festival!), a Beach Canteen has been set up on Kite Beach. It is a place where entrepreneurs who want to break into the Food business get to try out their business plans. There was also a very large screen on which movies based around food are shown - for free. Tonight they showed The Hundred Foot Journey.

We went with friend Miriam and got there just in time to get some food and secure a bean bag each. G & I ate from an outlet who are rather keen on chicken! Totally overpriced but ok. The movie was interesting. Helen Mirren plays her part very well.

And if you're wondering about the random tyre picture... we got back to the car and found it had a flat tyre!!! Argh. Fortunately, a garage was not too far, so we drove there to pump up the tyre and then drive on to the next garage which had ... a 24 hour tyre shop!! The verdict... G needs at least two new tyres. We just went ahead and did it; but got home later than expected and too tired to blip!
