Pairing Up

It is that time of year and a couple of things are known to happen.  Love is in the air.  Or to be a little more basic, mating requirements dominate behaviour down at the pond.  And the ducks are making a great deal of noise; presumably there may be something in the quack which is attractive to others.

Another feature of this time of year is that I dig holes in the garden.  An activity which I find intensely satisfying.  There is a purpose although some close members of the family suggest I have been known to dig holes in order to fill them in again.  That can't be true.
