A curious rash

Winchester has broken out in a curious rash of patriotism this summer. I guess it's the Olympics, so is this something we're all going to go through? The Torch, however, doesn't come through the City until sometime mid-July.

The Council is running a 'Best of British' campaign and this is the result. I don't know what else it consists of and so far I feel that people are faintly bemused by it in an accepting kind of way.

Flags are not subtle pieces of design, are they, but when I went into town before work I thought they looked quite fun in their flappy plastic way..
