Journey Through Time

Squirrelly

Just about the only photo I got today.  We were busy with other things...like shopping!

A lovely spring like day, but Bill, in his quest to re-decorate, took me to the La-z-boy furniture store as they are having a sale, and we selected a new recliner (style Lawrence, color Tobacco - a grey/beige color) and a new chair (style Avenue, color Granite, which is a print) to go with our new small sofa (a Stanton Furniture product - Style 118, color Tobacco - a blackish brownish color).  Interesting that we ended up with "tobacco" as a color for two of the items.  They coordinate nicely (we hope) but aren't the same color at all.

It's a squirrelly day in the news for Oregon, as the governor resigned.  Friday the 13th wasn't so good for him.  This governor has been a wonderful governor for Oregon, holding the office for two terms, and then coming back later to once again be elected twice.  But, his ruin was falling in love with the wrong woman.  It's a story worthy of a TV show.  Too long to go into here, but I'm sorry this happened to him, this fall from grace, because he was liked by a lot of people and he was kind of a 'cool' governor, with his jeans and boots.  He's a doctor by profession, so he's a smart guy....but then a woman comes on the scene and turns some men squirrelly.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
