Such a shame that a large section of this mosaic has disappeared.
By the pond in the Culpepper Community Garden - a wonderful calm oasis just a few minutes walk from the bustle of the Angel.
It's the finishing point for our next walkshop coming up on 7 March - Barnsbury. A few of us met up today to walk through the route.
It's just under 2.5 miles - starting at Cally Rd tube and meandering through various Barnsbury Squares with 12 stops. By the time we'd dawdled along discussing where we might stand with the group, popped in to the church in Thornhill Square as it happened to be open, stopped to be amazed by the congregation of dogs in Barnsbury Square and wandered slightly aimlessly by the former Islington workhouse, the whole thing took us about 3 and a half hours! We finished with well-deserved fish & chips in a caf in Chapel Market. And on the way from there to the Angel we couldn't resist a bit of shopping...
Altogether a fun day. Feeling quite exhausted but need to gather my energy to go out for birthday supper at my friend's.
