Winter colours

Busy day at work but did manage to get out for a walk at lunchtime. The sun was out and the colours of the trees were amazing. I particularly liked the red and yellow stems of these plants (dogwoods?) and the orange halo around the tree behind. 

There were lots of birds round the lake including a very noisy pair of Egyptian geese that seemed to be involved in a mating ritual. 

Book group in the evening with a good discussion on 'When God was a rabbit' and a catch-up with friends.
