Museum Pieces

On my way through Derby today, had time to walk along by the river and visit Derby Silk Mill, built in the early 1700s and recently renovated and made into a museum. Inside were artefacts from another of Derby's industries - aero engine manufacture. The Rolls Royce engine in the bottom right hand corner is one of the two that powered Alcock and Brown across the Atlantic in 1919.
