Coffee break

Another glorious day here in the mountains, blue skies, cloudless, perfect snow and a good day skiing. I cannot remember when we last had such a perfect week here, when the snow conditions and the weather have been so good. Fortunately it looks like it will stay like this all week too.

Adam and his friends are having a great time - they are loving the skiing and then the socialising with the other teenagers après ski. We all met for drinks with friends after skiing, then we came home for supper, and now the boys are snoozing to refresh themselves for going out later on...when Gavin and I and Thomas will be going to bed.

I finished my book The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O Farrell, one of my favourite authors (it was brilliant), and now am thoroughly enjoying H is for Hawk by Helen McDonald, which won the Costa book of the year prize.
