Moringa Tree, Dana
On my last day in Dana, I took a hike through the valley. My guide pointed out many different plants that have been used by his people for generations for countless different things. This is the Moringa tree. Its leaves and seed pods are packed with nutrition and can be eaten by humans and animals alike. The tree is also used for medicine, to purify water, and to provide quickly growing windbreaks and shade. The tree grows all across the tropics and doesn't need that much water to survive.
