A Fine Four Fire Day

Had our usual toasty morning and evening fires in the soapstone fireplace.  And I decided that I’d light the sauna in the morning for a change to try to sweat out this stupid virus a bit more.. It was good.   But the best was the bonfire on the beach to try to clean up the tree mess from yesterday.   We had to wait til almost 5:30 for enough beach and then it took awhile to get going with the wet limbs.  I thought oh maybe a fiery sunset would happen at the right time, but it was a puny sunset and the fire wasn’t going well yet anyway.  We kept going with our headlamps on and actually made great progress with the pile of branches…. so here you get the view of the last light over Saltspring and the planet Venus shining bright- the camera says it’s 6:22.  Very fun. It's good we have a new supply of firewood :-)  ... I feel better.    :-)
