These little pots, called cezve or briki are used for brewing coffee  the proper Mediterranean or Middle Eastern way.  Mostly, this is called "Turkish" coffee, but there are times and places when it will be referred to as "Greek" coffee...  There's rather a fascinating Wiki article here.
