Mandarin Macro. Leitz Summicron 50mm DR + Bellows

I was just about to peel a couple of Mandarins this morning for Elevenses when I noticed the little pentagon where the stem attaches to the fruit.
Using the "missing link" adapter, I macro'd an area of ~4x4mm.  I wonder why Nature chose a pentagon...
