We met up at Moel Famau, N Wales with my brother (pictured), his two daughters (plus a friend) and the dog this morning. My family used to walk up Moel Famau quite regularly during the 80's/90's and much hasn't changed since, apart from the car park charges. £1.50 for all day ain't too bad. Weather was not great as it drizzled on us all the way to the top. This restricted our view of the surrounding area to clouds, mist & clouds, but our hearts lit up when we reached the top and got stuck into some coffee, hot chocolate, butties & treacle toffee!
Naturally, we took the less windy route down through the forest, though it was a tad longer. The play area at the bottom kept the youngsters occupied while my brother ran off to get the car from the upper car park.
All muddied up, soaked and cold, it only felt natural to pile into a pub with a roaring fire for some pub grub! Aces. Had a good laugh while we all got fed and re-hydrated. Certainly something we could do with doing more often.....P even suggested we both run up the mountain one day!
As the scenic photos were a bit limited, here is what the views from Moel Famau can look like on a sunny day (shot in Infrared).
Super day out, but Great to be home 'n' dry!
