Blue welcome and some thoughts on Laos

It's been a long journey from Laos,
the numbers of cluster bombs are huge.

Is it a waste
of time,
of effort
to clear the ground?

We saw that it tokk weeks of hard work with years of delays
between the weeks
to get rid of 14 bombies.
About 70- 80 millions bombies left...

The cruelty of war in a neutral country,
threatening civilians generation after generation...

If U.S. and other nations that use or have used
cluster bombs
could have a mission
to use just some percent of  their military budget
to clearance
it would had made a huge difference.

(For 2014, Congress committed $12 million for clearance operations in Laos. By comparison, the U.S. spent an estimated $17 million per day on bombing missions during the 9 years long Vietnam war.)

Thank you all that have followed me on my journey to Laos, thanks for your comments, stars and faves.
