The Leeds/Liverpool canal at Lathom

Today I went to a blip meet with JanetH, CarrieD and JonoD. We met at Janet's and had a welcome coffee before heading out for a lovely, but very cold walk along the canal at Lathom. We saw a few fishermen looking absolutely frozen and bored and wondered what the attraction could be on such a cold day. Obviously they agreed because after a short while they had all gone home! We then has a delicious lunch at the Ship Inn and went on to Burscough where we went in a delightful craft shop. As Janet has mentioned we were surprised by the price and standard of the photographs on sale. I think us blippers could give them a run for their money! We then had a cup of tea at Janet's home and admired her newly hung and very professional looking photographs (hers of course) on her walls. Then we departed to face the rush hour (which in my case was not too bad). Altogether, a great day out, thank you Janet, Carrie and Jonathan.
