What else
... would you bring back from a holiday in Portugal but a bottle of vintage port? Impossible to find in France, where port is an aperitif bought in the supermarket for 5 euros a bottle. I have stopped serving vintage port to French people because they just glug it down as if it was Ribena.
We let it recover for a few days from the trauma of being rattled about on planes, trains and buses, until this evening. Well, it is Friday. Smooth and velvety, slips down very nicely. You will also glimpse the little azulejo coasters that I couldn't resist when in Sintra.
