Bell flower

The bell-shape is one of the most ubiquitous structures in the botanical world.  Normally they hang down and you have to get below or at least be at eye level to see inside. However, this exquisite bell flower that came with my iris bouquet (featured on Friday) has a totally upright posture. It must be a florist's cultivar, I think. 
This shot was taken from directly above. I have spherised the image to show the beautiful green seductive interior  for passing insects. Not that I expect there will be any of these flying organisms in the conservatory for many a week yet, as I watch  the sleet sliding  down the glass. Praise be for flowers.
