Sloppy

A perfect day to stay inside, lying on the soon-to-be-got-rid-of couch, reading.

Except that I had to go to Georgetown for a conference. It was hard enough to get there through 6" of snow (multiple buses not turning up, long walk in the beautiful fresh snow), but getting back at 11pm through the ice storm was hairy. I survived. And the conference was good.

Thanks for all the stars and hearts for yesterday's celestial capture. Seeing Mars glow red with the naked eye is a pretty special thing. Just look out your window tonight--it will still be there. One amazing thing I learned is that if you expose for 10 seconds or more the star will have a visible trail. That's dizzying speed.
