The house in the background is one of the holiday self catering houses. Amazingly it was the Laundry for the main house. It is set down a long avenue of mature lime trees and surrounded by Wellingtonia Redwoods and Douglas firs. As far as the dogs are concerned it is PHEASANT TERRITORY. They love it here.

I feel sorry for the little Laundry Maids who used to work here as it is a good 10 minutes walk from where the house was set. Imagine that on a frosty winter's morning, trudging down a long frozen, slippery track carrying baskets full of dirty sheets, whilst "them up at the big house" are sitting down to a good hearty Scottish breakfast. Those were the days.
