One day there will be a better day - a better day to be on the hills and to see the sights.

Today was a day for watching 3 football matches one after another in front of a roaring fire.

I enjoyed Hunter Davies column in The New Statesman last week - it was about daring to say too much football - specifically about a Sunday afternoon watching 3 matches one after the other he wrote of not being able to remember the scores,the teams or by the end, even who is the prime minister.

I'm looking forward to Spring and the birds returning to the hills
