Savannah, Georgia #2
Overwhelmed. That is wot I be.
A day full of visiting more of the various SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) facilities concluding with a tour of their equestrian centre. Yes. You can major or minor in gee gees. Or of course, in painting, printmaking. jewellery design, fashion design, accessory design (handbags and shoes), fashion marketing and management, industrial and furniture design (really, really impressive - motorbikes, boats, kitchen appliances - in fact, where engineering meets art), design management, service management, design for sustainability or any of the places/subjects I have already seen and mentioned in the last few days. Different locations in Savannah included their film studios (yup, you read that right), the SCAD Museum, performing Arts centre, their theatre, cinema and International student services and ESL centre. Then, finally, as if that wasn't enough - bus ride into South Carolina to visit their equestrian centre, on land that was once a plantation - but today houses between 60-80 magnificent (HUGE) equine beasts several of whom were more than happy to take a peppermint from my palm + all their circuits, paddocks and playgrounds. Apparently the equestrian team are Nationally competitively extremely successful. Why am I not surprised?
Stuff working in a High School! I am going to resign and come to Savannah to do my masters in Fibre (weaving n' stuff) and horse riding with maybe just a touch of photography. Yeah. :) Or if they won't accept me as a Masters student I could be a cleaner or stable "maid". That would be fine too.
Home tomorrow
