Let Them Eat Cake!

Though I enjoy cooking, I feel quite clumsy when it comes to baking. There is a certain precision involved that I just haven't mastered. Plus, I really don't eat sweets that often.

That being said, I've learned you really can't go wrong with a good chocolate buttercream frosting. Fresh cream, dark, rich chocolate, sugar, and scads of butter were melded together this evening then carefully applied to a simple yellow cake destined to be tomorrow's dessert.
