Go Chlo!
We had a bright but chilly walk on the Loweswater terrace. Chloe enjoyed charging about while we proceeded rather more steadily.
Some people laugh when I say that Loweswater is my favourite lake - it's not the biggest, or longest, or deepest but I love the way that the high fells appear suddenly if you come from the north west while around the lake it is still pastoral.
Also it is the only lake which drains INTO not out of the Lake District. When finally, many years in the future (I hope!) my ashes are scattered on Low Fell they will run down to Loweswater, into Crummock, along the Cocker and finally join the Derwent to flow passed our house. What a great journey!
