Bowling Green House

This rather lovely little building is in the grounds of Cockermouth Castle. Apparently it used to be used to keep bowling equipment and to watch the activity. How it is used by the gardener.
I was in the castle grounds (not open to the public except on special days) to check that the building was in good order. This is part of a project to assess the condition of Grade 11 listed buildings. Our area is part of a pilot project.
