It was raining when we got up so we went for a wander round Dagfields Crafts and Antiques. It's well worth a visit and we did some shopping while we were there. As forecast, the rain was beginning to stop. We went into Stoke-on-Trent for a bit of shopping and then on to the National Memorial Arboretum.
I'm so glad we went. It was an amazing place and I found it really moving and peaceful. After a short talk in the chapel we took the train tour, which was extremely interesting and well worth it. We then walked round some of the memorials. The sun had come out but it was bitterly cold so we didn't go too far. I would love to go again and would spend much longer. We were there 3hrs today and it really wasn't long enough.
The National Armed Forces Memorial was very moving but not as easy to photograph. I decided on this one as we've had a lot of RAF connections in the family.
