Ruffed grouse

Came across this grouse as it crossed the road, taking its good old time.  

Mr M plowed the driveway today, hoping to make some bare spots so it might start to melt.  I have my doubts.  Then 2 of his friends came and brought pizza for lunch - he had a very nice afternoon.
