Barnacle goose
A wet start to the day turned into a pleasant lunchtime so a stroll up the nearby Dovedale was made. The river was high do the stepping stones were too much of a challenge. Some lovely shots IV the hills and river in varying lights. But when we got to Carsington Water in the afternoon the sight of a flock of barnacle geese feeding provided more blip opportunities. The challenge was getting them to stay still long enough and not have their heads down feeding. This one obliged long enough.
Heading home tomorrow so the variety of photo opportunities will reduce dramatically !
