Monarch of Loch Chon

A local walk this morning to watch the fish rise in a reflecting pool and see a heron eyeing them closely from on top of a tree.

Then on to Aberfoyle for some local delicacies and a trip to Stronachlachar at the top end of Loch Katrine. On the way we passed Loch Arklet with some great views of snowy peaks, grey clouds and blue sky patches. And a few rainbows.
Lots of possible blips!

On our way back we passed Loch Chon which was frozen solid this time last year. We also saw a small herd of goats led by this magnificent creature. Not one to mess with.

Back via the David Marshall lodge now rechristened "The Lodge" where the food and the views remain as good as ever.

An enjoyable relaxing day!
