City Hall

This is City Hall, Northampton (believe it or not), where we go to pay our local taxes, and where we registered to vote. (Can you imagine that I haven't previously blipped it, in my two and 1/3 years on this site?) This odd building is 162 years old, and has been controversial since the beginning--here's a brief summary.

It's pretty much in the center of our small downtown. One of the PVTA vehicles is visible on the right--that's the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority, which provides good bus and van service from in our entire local area, from Northampton to Springfield and Amherst.
