Life Is Full Of Pictures

The Camper

Memorial Day is a federal holiday observed annually in the United States on the last Monday of May. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the fallen Union soldiers of the Civil War.

Memorial Day weekend signifies the beginning of summer and outdoor activities. It generally means the weather is warmer and the days last longer. Pools and amusement parks are open and camping begins. We pulled our camper out of winter storage and washed it up for our first Texas camping trip of the season. Technically we could have gone sooner because of the warmer weather, but we had to summon the energy to pull the camper over to the house and get it ready for our first outing.
