Streamlog 2012 - Lilliwap Creek of Hood Canal

Spent the day out on Lilliwap Creek of the Hood Canal. Lilliwap Creek used to support a healthy run of chum salmon but has been recently identified as at risk. Within the past 10-year the channel has aggraded (risen in elevation) 8-12ft burying much of the historically productive habitat. While the cause of the channel issues is ultimately related to land use practices (logging) we're tasked with helping the channel recover at a faster rate. Should be interesting...
