Ferry Point
Arr just lost all my writing trying to add to the map so not doing that again !
Here we go again.....
Another trip to the Puffin Pool and there was just enough time to head to Ferry Point for a quick look. One of the fields was full of geese. It was quite flooded from the recent snow melt but the geese seemed to like it. The tide was on the way in so lots of waders were on the waters edge. The red shank and curlew were still present and about a dozen male and female wigeon.
I walked across the bridge which always feels abit unsafe but it's used by lots of people so I think it's ok.
This is the view across the Cromarty Firth to The Cromarty Bridge. The sun was shining between the clouds and the blue colours looked lovely. We're off to a charity event at the Kingsmills Hotel In Inverness. It's in aid of the Elsie Normington Foundation. The charity is hoping to raise four million pound to build a 'Specialist play centre, respite wing, community coffee shop and some supported housing for children and young adults with learning disabilities in Inverness'.
Tonight Ian Rankin is giving a talk. He is a Scottish Crime Writer best known for his Inspector Rebus Novels which were also turned into a TV Series. There will also be a folk duo called All hat and no cat playing. We're having a meal first o it should be a good evening.
Thankyou all for your comments , stars and hearts. I actually made it on to the 'popular' page and it's not very often I can say that !
