First Daffodils

At long last the first Daffodils have opened and quite why they are so late I do not know as the winter has been reasonably mild - as usual. On my walk today I passed close to a pair of semi detached thatched cottages where the roof was well alight and 8 fire appliances had responded. I did take a couple of photos but I didn't think it right to post them.
