Téte du Colonney
Final view from the apartment for this trip (well - I'm guessing the view at 06:00 tomorrow won't be that great), a bit of zoom lense-yness from the bedroom window.
The day started very drab & driech- sure the very wet snow falling when we rose might befalling as fluffy snow higher up - but then again... Having had a fabulous evening that staggered jokingly into the early hours with a fellow guide & friend we didn't need much encouragement to return to bed. When we did get up first the order of the day was to take out the disturbing (for three people) number of empties we'd generated - I'm sure they must have bred whilst we slept.
It's been a great trip - the apartment has been exactly what we wanted it to be - a home away from home. The knee held up amazingly well to the (slight) rigours of skiing - but i also had an epiphany - even when it hurts it doesn't stop me doing what I love - and for sights & experiences like those of the last ten days - well that's a price worth paying.
